Along the hillsides of the Lakes Lago Maggiore,
Lago di Como and Lago di Lecco the rock climbing often is as good as in
the area of the more famous climbing area Arco. The area is a part of the
industrial wheel of Italy, Lombardia, and instead of Arco's tourism the
economic balance in this part comes from industry.
The best rock climbing is to be found around the town Lecco, and with thousands
of bolted routes the area is superb. In the area you will also find good
conditions for hang gliding, biking, wind surfing and bath. Or why not take
the train (leave the car in Lecco) to the city of Milano with Europe’s
fashion Centrum, the magnificent cathedral and a lots of restaurants.
The area is close to Switzerland, and maybe because of that the area is
quite clean and structural. Camping grounds are to be found in the area
and of course, plenty of Hotels.
