You will find this spot on the border Italy/France only 90 km from the small town Ventimiglia at coastline by the Mediterreian see. This could be one reason to choose Limone, a warmer climate and a possibility to take the car down to the coastline, it takes no more than 1,5 hour to reach Monaco or Nice.

The village is similar to any previously genuine village that has become a ski resort, almost without charm. But of course Limone can offer everything for a holiday tourist, good food, Bar's, shop's, disco.

Suited so close to the Mediterraenian See the area some years find itself without any snow, but during the last 3 years the conditions has been perfect. If the snow conditions is good the area offers a lot of nice off-pist skiing, though unsuported by the ski-system. Instead you need to pass signes warning for avalanges.

The area is the sytems joined together with ski-lifts, Limone, Limone 1400 and Limonetto. Only in Limone you will find a reason amount of shop's and activities.

If you are looking for a budget proposal then rent a room in the village Vernante, but then you need a car and it will take about 10 minutes to drive to the ski-system. If you rent an appartment and want to buy cheap food and wine, then drive down to Cuneo where you will find super-market's.

So, check snow conditions before booking and if you arrive in Limone, don't miss the Italian food.
