Rock climbing on Monte Bracco, and in the outlying areas. Suited about 50 kilometers south-west of Torino, near Monte Viso, Italy.
Monte Bracco is one of the major climbing areas in this part of Italy, but during the summer the locals choose to go climbing in the shadow, or at a high altitude. Suited near Monte Viso (3841m) in Valle Po the area offers a beautiful nature, excellent rock climbing and not many tourists.

Valle Po is well known to be a paradise for ski-alpinism, and the mountains around Monte Viso has many traditional climbing routes for those that want to do some mountaineering. The Topos cover the main area, two separate crags on Monte Bracco and an area of small crags located at a higher altitude (900-1200 m)
In Valle Po, the rock climbing is nice and the views are breathtaking, as the view of Monte Viso raising above your head with its impressive peak.
This is a quiet part of Italy, small winding roads and picturesque villages. At the head of the flat Po Valley, these regions are almost completely surrounded by mountains, and it's here that some of the Italy's best hiking, ski-alpinism, biking and rock climbing are to be found.
There are dozens of kilometres of military roads, mule tracks and paths running along the valleys, so there is no problem to find activities during resting days. Visit Saluzzo, lying in the Po Valley, the town had its own court during the Renaissance, and retains cobbled streets and a castle. Of great interest too is Monte Bracco with its ancient and particular dwellings, known as "balme".
At the outskirts of Paesana you will find a camp site and in this village you also find supermarkets. Tourist information, restaurants, bars and smaller, genuine food stores are to be found in Paesana or in the village Crissolo.
