Gothenburg is regarded to be a friendly town, and during
the evenings it is easy to get in contact with local people or some of many
students on a bar or a restaurant in the central City.
A couple of
kilometres (6) from the central City you will find Utby with both sport
climbing and traditional climbing, in various grades. The rock climbing
here started as early as in 1930 and if the weather is nice you will meet
many local climbers by the crag. Rock climbing on Granit often needs different
technical skills than the technic at Limestone. The great advantage with
rock climbing and bouldering in Sweden is the perfect temperature during
the summer, in July and August when it can be to hot in the South of Europe.
