Stugun, east of Östersund, is a small
village with a great rock climbing area just at the outskirts of the village.
Stugun offers a wonderful wild nature and one of the great rivers of Sweden,
Indalsälven, is passing near the crag.
The area is easily accessible, with a car park a couple of hundreds metres
from the crag, free camping in the wood just by the crags and food shops,
a bakery and a restaurant in walking distance. The crags, granite, offer
mainly sport climbing routes but also some traditional multi pitch routes.
In
this part of Sweden you could have sun in the middle of the night during
summer and the best season is late May to the end of August.
